Have you ever looked in the mirror and felt less confident? How about when it was time to pitch your brand and you weren’t quite confident in your product? I'm sure many of us can relate to this. I know I definitely can! Confidence is a trait that we all should desire. I understand that you may have experienced different obstacles in your life and durning the process you were stripped of your confidence. Being confident is something I want us all to achieve. In my breast cancer post last week, I spoke highly about my company and us wanting to do our part and helping women restore their confidence. We all deserve to be confident in ourselves. We should wake up everyday reciting our daily affirmations: I am Loving, I am Kind, I am Beautiful, I am Powerful, I am Unique, I am Confident, I am Me and I Love Me! I know that sometimes this may be difficult to do on your on, so I have some helpful tips: have strong, solid support groups, and encouraging reading material that I recommend and it will help build your confidence in no time!
THINGS THAT CAN HELP YOU BUILD YOUR CONFIDENCE
In order to help myself with my confidence I joined a Facebook group called "Find Your Confidence: 30 Day Confidence Breakthrough" This is a small intimate group facilitated by the Motivational Speaker, Author, and CEO of Nodat, Aireka Harvell. In this group we are given daily confidence challenges that is design to help you increase your confidence a day at time. All of the women in this group are extremely motivational and inspiring. The 30 day confidence breakthrough is designed so that by day 30
your confidence is much higher then it was on day 1. I really enjoy being apart of this group it helps me conquer some of my fears while building my confidence at the same time. We had a meet up and for the first time we were able to put names with faces from the women in the group. The group facilitor, Aireka perpared a wonderful dinner for us and then each lady got up and spoke and addressed our assignment. Our confidence assignment was to give a little background about ourself, talk about what our fears were and what was holding us back from pursuing what God had intended for us. These women were so motivational and just sharing their life stories were extremely touching.
Reading different motivational books is also a great way to restore your confidence as well. One book I read that I highly recommend is “ he Psychology of Winning: Ten Qualities of a Total Winner" by Dr. Denis Waitley. This is a great book for someone who is looking to improve themselves in all aspects of life. This book speaks about positive self-awareness, positive self-esteem, positive self-motivation, and
much more. The 2nd Book I recommend is "Find the Beauty in Your Now" by Aireka Harvell This is also another motivational read. In this book the author shares her journey with us from the time she was a child to where she is now. She enlightens us with how God gave her revolution and direction to her destiny after having to heal from a strenuous past. This book, “Find the Beauty in Your Now” is on Pre-Order NOW at www.amazon.com. Be sure to check these books out and if any of you have any recommendations please comment and let the readers know.
Again, I know lack of confidence can be difficult for some people to speak about publicly. Some of you may not want to share your feelings on social media, with friends or even family because of fear of being judge. "Let's Talk it Out" is an excellent way to get direction and be able to get out everything you have been holding inside. There are 3 individuals that are chosen daily to "talk it out" if you are chosenyou will be able to receive a one one feedback on that call. The greatest
thing about this conference call is that it's completely anonymous. I certainly hope that some of my advise and practices are able to enhance your life as much as it has enhance mine. I would love to hear from you, please comment some of the things that you do to help with your confidence and we can all benefit.
I went through a tough time with having confidence while trying to launch my brand, Luxe Luxury Hair Extensions and Lashes, LLC, I found myself having a hard time believing in my own product. I was an advocate wearer of Brazilian hair and I always received compliments. I found myself becoming a walking billboard for other Brazilian hair companies. People would stop me to compliment my hair and I would immediately pull out my phone to show them pictures of the hair, give details on the hair and before they walked off I made sure they were following that hair company on Instagram or Facebook. After years of doing this, I thought- I could go in business for myself! I was a natural at this.... so I thought. Once this became "my" brand, the confidence I felt initially quickly faded and I started to question everything. I questioned myself, my brand and my product. There was no way I could ever make it in the hair industry if I didn't believe in myself! I was surrounded by so many people that believed in me and my brand more than I did. I knew I was living in fear and the Lord says, that faith and fear could NOT coexist. I knew I had to change my perception in order to walk in my purpose, the one God had given me. I wanted to be obedient so I took control over my life.
